Brrrrr. Early start this morning for a presentation at a school assembly. There was a little ice when I left home at 6:45 a.m. I saw rain and snowflakes today, too. I felt the wind.
Home…after a good day at work. The presentation went well. I work with good people; make that awesome and talented people. The teachers and students were a great audience. I am happy with my work. Still, walking in the door tonight was oh-so nice. I made a cup of butter toffee coffee in my Keurig. A Keurig is a blessing. I can sit, sip, sniff – the coffee and my Christmas tree. I’m content. Contentment should be savored.
The cats are not savoring my squirt-bottle attacks when they can not leave the Christmas tree alone. I was hopeful that a day of the tree being in the house with them (undecorated) would help them lose their fascination with it. That seemed like a good plan before decorating the tree. Like most of my plans, it isn’t working. What’s the saying? If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.
For today, find contentment in something good.
I love my Keurig too. So easy to make just one cup. Good luck with the cats! ANd you are right…contentment should be savored!
Thanks Janie! Your posts help me find contentment!!
