A Winter Hermit

It’s the time of year when I long to be a hermit.
Into my home, only those I permit.
Hide the dress clothes and heels.
I only want to experience how cotton jersey and flannel feels.
It isn’t too late;
I still have time to hibernate.
I’ve already got a good start on storing up body fat.
However, my hibernation plans will not, by springtime, make my stomach flat.
My plans include napping and baking.
Cakes and cookies, I could be making.
I don’t want to fight crowds and shop.
Upon my couch, I want to plop.
My decisions no tougher should be
than do I want hot chocolate or coffee?
