The Joy of Morning Chores

No, I’m not being sarcastic with my title.  Sometimes…early morning chores are wonderful.  Usually, this time of year, I do chores in the dark … and cold … and the beauty is harder to find.  I have to look harder.  It is a treat when the full moon is still shining, though!

Notice the frost sparkles!

This morning was especially nice because I could wait until the sun was up and doing it’s beautiful work on a February morning.  I am off work today and could take time for pictures!  Since I was later than normal, the animals were slightly impatient:

"Happy" not so happily waiting for breakfast.

Once they were contentedly eating…

I could take more pictures without feeling guilty!

Foxtail...a favorite weed!

Simply beautiful

Can you tell I love my little spot in the country?

  1. Your pictures are so serene. You can almost feel the quiet. My husband and I recently bought a couple acres. He is slowly adding animals and morning chores to his routine. I prefer to stay in bed where it’s warm.
