Make a “To-Don’t” List

I’ve been feeling like a hamster on a wheel.  My to-do list is discouraging.  I’m the only one that can change my attitude…so, how about a to-don’t list?

Don’t rush through my morning coffee.

Don’t miss an opportunity for conversation with my kids.

Don’t check email at home.

Don’t skip a walk because there is too much work to do.

Don’t get too busy to hear the birds singing and see the flowers blooming.

Don’t take on new projects and committments (even though they are ALL for a good cause).

Don’t ignore the rocking chairs on the front porch.

Don’t wish I had the time to ride the 4-wheeler.  Ride it, even if only for a little bit.

Don’t sacrifice happiness for others’ expectations.

Don’t sacrifice moments of joy for the slaying of dust bunnies.

Don’t be uptight.

Don’t forget to … just breathe.

Don’t forget that a cure for the grouchies might be a nap.

Don’t forget that tomorrow is not a guarantee.

  1. I love it!! Let’s see…my To-Don’t List for today:
    1. Don’t make the bed – check
    2. Don’t go clothes shopping – check
    3. Don’t miss an opportunity to eat leftover Easter candy – check
I’ve never accomplished so much with so little effort. Success!!

Screen free showed me how much time I waste in front of a screen. I loved all I accomplished. Stuart and I visited more and I slept better than ever. I hope I didn’t scare you when I honked the other day when you were in your flower beds:)
