Illinois weather is a fickle thing

What do you do when it is 60 degrees in January in Illinois?

Pig farmer opened the windows.

Rocko, the cat, wanted a breath of fresh air and decided to see if the view is better on the other side of the window.

Son, Dakota snapped a picture to send me since I wasn’t home.

I say, when it’s 60 in January in Illinois … enjoy it …

but don’t get used to it.

Yep, there was ice and a 30+ degree drop in temperature by the next morning.

  1. Sounds like the weather we have been having here. Mud season in January! Uggh.
    I love your header photo.

  2. Oh, I’d love a 60 degree day right now. I’m freezing my butt off. Well, my butt does seem to get colder than any other part of my body. I think it’s an extremity. Too far away from my core body temperature.
