Landmarks and Hope

I admit it ~ I’ve had a bad attitude lately.

It happens.

Unfortunately.

Sooo, last night I decided to photograph a landmark just a bit to the east of my home.  Of course, I have the old barn in the background – it’s a big, well-known landmark on my road.  However, the other landmark can be easy to drive past quickly and not notice.  It’s really too poignant to ignore.

The old rugged cross

The view to the west has our little homestead in it:

This morning, I read a devotional from Rick Warren’s Daily Hope.  A quote:

Pain is a natural part of life. You can’t escape it. Broken relationships, missed opportunities, and rough seasons of life will always be with us. When they do come, you can either become bitter or hopeful.

The choice is yours.

Choose hope!
