Today, the wind chill advisory is supposed to lift at noon.

Thankfully.

By 1:00 p.m. we should be a rather balmy 11 degrees.

The storm looks miserable…just miserable. To have the cold temperatures lift is a true big help.

Your shots are great, i did not realise you had herefords too, aren’t they lovely animals. My feet are still frozen and tingly .. I am waiting for them to warm up so I can go back out and shift the sheep to their usual enclosure, that snow was blowing straight through the barn and I had to lock them up! Which meant the whole reshuffle (I am sure you know that feeling) Time to shuffle them all back to normal!.. Today will be a better day, just as soon as John can start the tractor and dig us out!.. c

  3. The cold and wind has been awful! We are expected to get some more tomorrow night. thankfully we don’t have to break ice in the ponds anymore. Your baby calf is getting big! Stay warm!

I know I’m in the minority here, but that snow is beautiful, especially that last pic. Here’s an NPR link that shows how some cute animals are getting through the cold weather. There’s one of some goats that “allowed” the owner to put sweaters on them. http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2014/01/07/260445875/frolicking-fido-cozy-cats-how-your-pets-are-chilling-out

P.S. It never got above 34 in my neck o’ the woods today (N. Florida).

  6. Would you believe that I wore sandals to work yesterday? I wore a coat and scarf, too, but still….it’s much warmer here. It’s so strange how different our weather is.

It looks so cold, I shivered when I saw the snowy picture of the wagon.
