Sigh….NO baby goats, yet.

Seriously…Miss Gertie, who I thought would not make it to Christmas without kidding is now kidding me!  Yesterday was the due date for she and Posey … and it came and went and turned February 5th with no kids.  I thought, for sure, yesterday’s winter storm would bring on delivery.

I took a few pictures from my front porch yesterday to show the sequence of the storm moving in.

9:00 a.m.

9:00 a.m.

Abigail and Pumpin Pie were rather ho-hum about another snow:

By noon, they had moved into the barn and the snow had really set in:

Today, the temperatures are supposed to take a dive and the winds are supposed to pick it up a notch or two.

Early this morning

I want to bake … and not roasted broccoli.

I don’t want to watch Biggest Loser.

I don’t want to get on the treadmill.

I want to kickbox … Jillian Michaels.

Except I would get hurt.

Please, Spring, hurry along.

Before I am as wide as pregnant Gertie.

Before the bulk is no longer my winter clothes and coveralls.

I will just make (more) coffee.

The winter that just keeps on giving. Spring is going to feel better than usual this year I think.

I should have bought snow shoes this year. Maybe then I could takes walks around town and lose some of this extra winter fat I’ve managed to put on my body.

Poor snowy Abigail and Pumpkin Pie…….at least they had enough sense to come in out of the snow. We somehow missed this round –not that I am complaining, mind you. Not one bit. Stay warm and have another cup.

  4. At our place we always had babies during ice storms and tornadoes! And I know what you mean about exercising–I’ve been in comfy sweat pants too long! My jeans are getting a little snug, but you know what they say–it’s good to have extra reserves for cold weather.

I just hope we don’t need our sweats until June!
