I have to do something different!
I don’t want to report on the winter weather and its horrific winter-ness.
A good friend had suggested a while ago that I blog my Monster Cookie recipe. (Thank you, Cathy.)
I finally remembered to take pictures when I made them last week.
These are basically my idea of “healthy” breakfast food (oatmeal). I mean….they are sorta granola bar-ish.
MARLA’S MONSTER COOKIES:
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 cup + 2 Tbsp brown sugar
3 eggs
18 oz peanut butter (I use crunchy)
2 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp light syrup
4 1/2 cups oats
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup M&Ms (Sample first, of course. Have to check for freshness….)
6 0z chocolate chips (I use mini chips)
Bake at 350 degrees, for 12-15 min. Let set up on cookie sheet ~1 minute before removing.
Note: This recipe does not call for flour.
Thanks for the recipe. I think the girls and I will try these this week.
I hope you enjoy!!
Oh the yummyness! Will certainly give these a try!
How many batches does this recipe make?
I get about 3 dozen, large cookies from this recipe.
Well, at least they have some candy in them to counteract all that healthy oatmeal. 🙂
So true!! The M&M’s make them easy to coordinate with holidays, too!
Look at that! You still had M&Ms left to put in the cookies! 😉
That … is definitely a challenge. 🙂
