Happy St. Pat’s Day

Good morning!  No, this isn’t the sunrise; it’s the moon-set:

Beautiful!!  I love, love, love the full moon.  I wish it wouldn’t have been cold and windy last night.  I love warm evenings outside.

I wish I had some green to show you on St. Patty’s Day … but nothing is green here, yet:

We have had the noisiest swarm of ugly birds.  Hundreds of them.  I hope they are migrating through and not staying.  They were dining on the pasture that pig-farmer just frost-seeded.  Nice.  :/  Can see them in the tree?  They are really kind of gross and creepy.  Alfred Hitchcock style.

I have completed the final coats of paint on the walls and trim in the project-room.  Just need to do some touch-ups.  Today, I am taking a sample of the old linoleum to get it tested for asbestos in the glue.  Underneath that linoleum appears to be 6″ plank wood flooring!  That’s what I’d love to return the flooring to.

My son looked the room over and said it should be called, “It’s a Boy! blue.”  Sigh….

I said it is a country cottage-look.

As you can see, it looks very different as the light changes in the room.  I told him not to worry … his residency in it is not long-term … and it’s going to be my den/guest room some day.  So there.

Don’t let me fool you, though.  He can stay as long as he likes.  Well, probably.  I cry when they leave for college (and when they come home!  Just kidding…).

Have a good day.  Let’s see more SPRING this week.  Please.  It is officially SPRING on Thursday.

    The room is looking good.

I am just starting to see a little green in the grass here and so ready to see lots of green grass, green leaves and colorful flowers. Fortunately, we’ve seen some nice blue skies recently, which is a nice change from all the white snow clouds we saw over the winter.

Hope you have a wonderful St. Patty’s Day!

Your room is looking pretty. Love the “It’s a boy” comment. That’s a beautiful moon shot. My trees look like that a lot lately, just before all those birds swoop in and try to remove every last seed and peanut from the premises. They will move on…Thursday would be a good day!
