Ever wake up on a Monday morning and wonder,
“Where on earth did the weekend go?”
I know that it was fun, filled with people we love,
and fast.
Too fast.
Monday morning. Seriously? Already?
Yes, already.
The sun in the east this morning says so.
This is the first morning of 2014 that Abigail, Pumpkin Pie and Happy were all outside of their barns … basking in the early morning colors.
The old black lab accompanied my youngest and I to the pond yesterday and dove right in. First time since the surgery on his hip. His balance was a little off, but he seemed to enjoy it. Especially investigating the dead fish that did not survive the deep freezes of winter … Frozen in ’14.
He seemed only momentarily disappointed when I said, “No! No bringing home souvenirs.”
I may have to visit the pond again today … just to feel that peace … and to watch the timber turn green.
When we returned home, pig farmer was doing chores. We had to watch the goats for awhile. Laughing, because even though they have four feeders for their grain, it must taste better if everyone eats out of the same pan, at the same time.
Saturday also brought a nice surprise in the mail!
It’s Just Life is a wonderful, inspiring blog that you can check out at http://bethannchiles.com/
Beth Ann finds the “extraordinary in the ordinary”
and makes me smile.
I entered a contest she hosted through her blog … and look at the extraordinary package she sent me!

It’s Just Life
How awesome is that?!
Thanks Beth Ann!!!
You are welcome and so sweet to post this! Happy to have you along for the ride at It’s Just Life. 🙂 Love the pictures today—awesome sunrise pics. Beautiful. We have rain but hey—I will take it!
I’m glad to sing your praises!!
The rain you are having is coming our way, I hear. It is part of spring, I guess!
My dogs also want to eat out of the same bowl. If one dog move to another bowl, the other two follow. They seem to think there is something different and better in the next bowl even though it’s the same food. LOL!!!
Enjoy your day!
Always afraid to be missing out. It is funny. Thanks and I hope you enjoy your day, too!
YAY! For you lovely gift!!!

Fun surprises are awesome. 🙂
Beautiful sunrise! I know you work hard, but these pics make it look like such a laid back life. Thanks for sharing.
It is hard work … but definitely important to remember to take time to enjoy the beauty! I would still consider it pretty laid back, too. 🙂
Congratulations on winning Beth’s package. The goats are cute eating side by side.
Thank you. She is awesome!
The goats definitely have entertainment value.
