Wild winds have ushered in October.
The trees are holding on tight, but can’t quite keep their skirts down, undersides showing.
Even the wind seems to want to head south with the birds as it brings seasonal changes.
The trick is to enjoy right here, right now, instead of chasing the wind.
Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have. Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless—like chasing the wind. ~ Ecclesiastes 6:9
Get up; get going. Do what needs to be done.
The day is waiting on you.
How appropriate that your post has several mentions of the wind: it is blowing a gale here, and has been all night. Kept me awake for most of it! Not a hurricane, but it sure feels like one. Enjoyed your pics, as always. Happy fall!
Happy fall, Dianna! I’ve sure been thinking of you and others along the East Coast.
Beautiful photos as always! Have a lovely day.
So far it’s been a lovely day. Hope yours has been, too.
Blowing here as well. Sadly, many leaves are on the ground before they had the chance to proudly display their fall colors.
I am hoping that doesn’t happen here! Most of the trees are just starting to turn.
We’ve had a nor’easter eroding the oceanfront as we keep an eye on where Joaquin is headed. Praying for the wonderful folks in South Carolina as they deal with all the flooding. We were “stranded” there for a couple days on our way to Florida once. What a blessing that experience was.
It’s wonderful when the unplanned can provide a blessing!
You know what? I LOVE this post. I love the pictures but I especially love the message. I am definitely sharing this today. Thank you.
Thank you so very much, Beth Ann. Your words are a boost to my soul.
I love this post. Absolutely love it. The pictures are wonderful but the message is just what I needed to read this morning. Definitely sharing this one! Thank you!
I smiled at the image of trees showing their undersides as their skirts are blown. 🙂
It’s been a breezy few days here, making it chilly and tempting me to tarry longer at the computer screen in the morning (perhaps with an extra cup of coffee). But you’re right, there is plenty to do! I shouldn’t keep the day waiting any longer…
I’m glad you smiled at the image! I kept feeling like the trees were getting flustered, trying to keep their skirts down. Tarrying over an extra cup of coffee is such a treat, isn’t it? However, it isn’t a treat if it were to happen every day, I suppose.
Very beautiful, Marla!

Thank you, Linda!
I love that Ecclesiastes quote and needed to hear it today. Thanks.
