Life is full of so many interesting pursuits! How does one have time to pursue them all?
Satisfy our curiosity about the world around us?
How do we know in which direction we should put our focus?
Almost every single day, when my feet hit the floor, well, okay, when the coffee kicks in, I have more ideas pop in my mind that I want to do, experience, learn, try than my energy and obligations allow. Sometimes, this feels like a problem I need to ponder and solve.
How do you find time for obligations and your interests?
Your work, fun, responsibilities, hobbies without howling about being stressed?
Is everyone stressed about something? It’s almost like we aren’t working hard enough if we aren’t stressed. Stress should not be a status symbol.
Life should be a lot more about what and who we love and a lot less of being in an I’m-more-stressed-than-you competition.
Today, I hope you do something you love.
Tomorrow, I hope you do not feel stressed about what you didn’t get done today.
Beautifully stated! Great pictures.
Thank you, Wendy!
Such great questions, and for me I just take a step forward and whatever problem/pursuit hits me first I go after 🙂 Cheers to a good day ~
Good advice and cheers to you!
Love your pictures as always (that last one is gorgeous)! I guess stress is just part of life sometimes…
Sometimes, yes, it is unavoidable. Thank you for commenting! The last photo is of a fire I made last weekend as it died out. It was a beautiful dusk.
Love, love. love this post. I must admit that as I get older the type of stress is different. Now the stress is usually more about caring for family and loved ones and not the job and deadline stress. There is no way to totally avoid it but surrounding myself with lovely people and pictures of their wonderful animals helps a lot more than can be imagined. Love your pictures.
Isn’t the blogging world cathartic and therapeutic? Thank you, Beth Ann, for your reply and also for YOUR writing!
Recently, in a sermon I heard the minister ask if “being too busy” was the new status symbol. This fits in nicely with your being too stressed; so, saying no and eliminating the busy helps decrease the stress.
I bet that was a great sermon. Saying no can be one of the hardest lessons to learn. It takes practice!
I do the same thing, even before the coffee kicks in! I think what all needs to be done, what order it needs to happen, and then POOF! I’m trying to let go of more and grasp what it is I truly want to do. Loved all your photos. That is one pretty cat.
On behalf of Bubbles, the cat, I thank you! She is queen of the house…
We have a holiday Monday at work … I am trying to decide how to spend that glorious holiday that doesn’t have other obligations attached to it!
I think it is productivity vs pleasure!
I loved your post, complimented with such perfect photos! 🙂
Seriously, stress can be a killer. I’ve always lived a busy life, full of stress. Last year the stress was ten-fold with the passing of my mom, the handling of her estate, the closing of our business. It all came to head with a stress-related heart attack last November! I am thankful it was a mild one, and I am fully healthy with no heart-related issues, but it took that to finally wake me up and say, “Today is for me, everything else can wait for tomorrow.” Life is full of stress, it is all about how we handle it. I am learning every day to keep it in check!
You have quite the story! I am glad that you pursue your photography and blogging. 🙂
Lovely images .. And you are so right, tomorrow should not be about what we didn’t do today! Time to smell the roses 😊
Thank you and I hope you find many roses to sniff today!
😃😃
Looking at your goat, I’m glad I don’t have to wear a set of horns.
LOL! They would surely lead to very strong neck muscles, don’t you think? The goats are very adept at using their horns to scratch their back. Sometimes I am a bit envious of that!
And I’ll bet the goats are envious of your ability to nap on your back.
True that!
