April …

Looking for April??  Or at least an April post from me?

Seriously, I don’t know where it went! One minute it is here in its blooming glory….In the next minute, it gains momentum and flies into May!

The April flowers brought May showers (yes, I know that is reversed).  Look at this gorgeous picture my friend and co-worker took one morning as she drove into our wonderful, beautiful town of Shelbyville:

The rains will run out eventually and we will be wondering when the next nice shower will come.  That’s how it is in farming communities, where livelihoods are determined by the weather.  It’s part of why we just make the coffee, isn’t it?  Do what we can when we can’t control the rest, knowing that the sun will still rise.

Friends, I hope May is off to a great start for you.  Mine is and I’ll fill you in soon.

We are mostly in a drought down here. My veggie garden seeds just won’t sprout. Only the corn did. That second photo with the lone Canadian Goose for some reason reminded me of that cartoon character that was always asking “Where’s that putty-tat?” A black cat maybe? Anyway, the goose appears to be stalking like the cartoon character.

I visited Florida last week to see my brother and attend a conference for work. I was surprised how dry it was! RE: the putty-tat, you’re thinking of Sylvester and Tweety!? Love them. 🙂

Is that who they are? Sylvester and Tweety? Gettin’ to where I can’t remember squat. VERY dry down here. The Okefenokee Swamp’s been burnin’.
