The “new” old house in town is already changing! The monstrous yews in front had to go.
BEFORE:That picture doesn’t really show how monstrous they were. They were hide-a-bear big … if we had bears, that is.
AFTER:Now, it’s neat and tidy and should offer some color and/or “visual interest” most of the year. Plants included: boxwood, hydrangea, coreopsis, and dianthus.
Oops …. forgot to get a picture of the old wagon (old picture below) in its new home.Yes, we moved it to town! Rednecks that we are.

There is an interesting video of the men loading it into a trailer!
a massive change .. I love the trees in your backyard though
How charming! Great job getting rid of the yews, it really brightened up the front. I hope you are enjoying!
Yes, definitely enjoying. The remodeling process is a work in progress though. We feel that we make a step forward in organization and take 1.5 steps back! 😉
Home, Sweet Home 🙂
It definitely feels like home!
Don’t blame you for downsizing. Five acres is for the very young. I’m turning 65 in late November and I kinda wish I didn’t have two acres to take care of. My brother, who now lives here, mows and edges but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
I love the neighborhood we live in. Ready to have remodeling finished and to be organized!
Now that you aren’t going to be pig farmers, do you have new mischief to get into?
Oh, no doubt about it! 😉 Currently, I am figuring out (by observation) dog-walking-pooping etiquette! Should I blog a post about that??
Everybody looks happy, especially Bubbles on her designated throne. The landscaping made a world of difference!
