Spring is slowly, daintily, tiptoeing into the dance of seasons.
Sunday, I chose to explore, enjoy, and try to express the wild beauty of my backyard.
I hoped to even find morel mushrooms, just as I’ve hoped this property is home to Redbud trees.
I found the Redbuds …. way at the back edge,
and a box turtle,
and a beautiful hill of these blue, timber flowers, that I don’t know the name of.
Here is a close-up:
I had songs and company, too.
No ‘shrooms, though.
Hmmmm, have to think about that.
For today, friends, I hope you enjoy something in your own backyard!
Very pretty
I love, love, love a gorgeous spring day! Thanks for reading. 🙂

We are so looking forward to seeing you, too! The wedding is one month from today! 😉
So lovely. Spring is so enchanting. A lovely awakening from a long slumber.
It has been a long slumber, indeed! I think it has been a good 6 months since I’ve seen green trees. Hope you have a beautiful day.
Your blue flowers are Virginia Bluebells. I had them at the house and enjoyed them each spring, the pink buds opening to blue bell shaped flowers. They’re a native wildflower, like the kind of woodland area you photographed them in and will be back each spring. Keep an eye out for Jack-in-the-Pulpits, Trilliums, various violets, shooting stars and dog tooth violets as they like the same kind of conditions. Enjoy Spring!!
Great information. Thank you!
Wonderful images! Spring is looking gorgeous in your backyard .. 🙂
It’s arrival is so welcome!
