The beautiful season of autumn lets your senses sail away.
Fall in the country has it’s very own smell. The trick is to breathe deeply and notice it!
Reminisce a bit, then brush your hands off, and appreciate each beautiful moment that was and will be.
I hope you feel some pride in the place you call home.
I’m lucky to look out my doors, windows, and down my street to beautiful views.
My neighborhood embraces Halloween! The pictures do not do it justice. As a friend said, “It really is like something out of a movie scene.” The streets were full of head-lights, tail-lights, walkers, wagons, strollers, families, princesses, super heroes, and goblins.
The neighborhood market grilled hotdogs for families – for free! My neighbor played the school cheer song on his trumpet for all to hear.
And then …. we ran out of candy! It was time to hide!
Friends, I hope you fall back today and enjoy a relaxing day.

I’m still hoping for an Indian Summer though!!
Those colors are amazing! What a beautiful time of the year.
Yes, they are amazing. I try to breathe deeply and soak them in. Once the leaves are gone … they will be gone for about 5 months. 😦
The orange and yellow leaves are beautiful. We don’t get that down here in the swamps.
The colors are enviable – but soon it will be cold and I’ll want your warm temps!
You certainly have great color in the trees. I’m about 100 miles further north but somehow we just sort of went from tired green to fast yellow and that was it. There was one maple that looked dark pink instead of red in the front courtyard of an apartment building, but that was about all that could be seen from where I live. I’ve got mostly apartment buildings and paving too look out on.
Well, darn! I hate that your fall was so short and lacked the beautiful colors. 100 miles north – you may get some pretty snows. I just don’t love being out in snow, except taking photos of it! 😉
If it snows we’re basically housebound. The hill we live on is on the steep side and gets very slippery with snow. Most of the trees have lost their leaves over the last day or so. We’re on a busy street too so the pretty doesn’t last long.
Snow isn’t very pretty for long, anywhere! 😉
What a beautiful post- thank you!
You have glorious views …autumn is such a beautiful time of year. Lovely images 🙂
